NeWay — Terms of Service
These terms govern your use of the NeWay app and the hosted services we provide with it ("NeWay", "the Service", "we"). By installing or using NeWay you agree to them. If you don't agree, don't use it.
1. What NeWay is
NeWay is a macOS app that runs AI assistants which can act on your Mac at your direction — answer questions about your screen, run background tasks, and (if you connect them) use services like Gmail/Calendar. See our Privacy Policy for what data is handled.
2. Hosted AI access
So you don't need your own API keys, we route AI requests through a key server we operate, paid for by us. This access is provided as a courtesy, "as is", and is subject to fair-use limits (rate limits and daily quotas). We may change, throttle, suspend, or discontinue it at any time without notice — for example to control abuse or cost. You may also bring your own API keys where the app supports it.
3. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use NeWay for anything illegal, or to harm, harass, or violate the rights of others;
- attempt to extract, resell, or abuse the bundled credentials, the key server, or its quotas, or access it other than through the app;
- reverse-engineer or interfere with the Service except to the extent the law permits;
- use it to generate or distribute malware, spam, or content that violates a third party's terms.
We may suspend access that breaches these terms.
4. The agent acts on your Mac, at your direction — you are responsible
NeWay's assistant can read and modify files, type, click, and control other apps when you tell it to. You are responsible for the instructions you give and for reviewing what it does before relying on the result — especially irreversible actions (sending messages, deleting or overwriting files, changing settings). NeWay drafts and acts on your behalf; it is your tool, not an independent party.
5. AI output may be wrong
AI responses can be inaccurate, incomplete, or inappropriate. Don't treat them as professional (legal, medical, financial, etc.) advice. Verify anything important before acting on it.
6. Third-party services
NeWay relies on OpenAI, Anthropic, and (if you connect them) Composio and the accounts you link. Your use of those is also governed by their terms, and we're not responsible for them.
7. No warranty
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE", WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. We don't warrant the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.
8. Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, NEWAY AND ITS OPERATOR WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF DATA, PROFITS, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF NEWAY — INCLUDING ACTIONS THE ASSISTANT TAKES AT YOUR DIRECTION. Some jurisdictions don't allow these limits, so they may not fully apply to you.
9. Changes
We may update these terms; we'll change the date above and, for material changes, note it in the app or on our site. Continued use after a change means you accept it.
10. Termination
You may stop using NeWay anytime by deleting it. We may suspend or end your access if you breach these terms or to protect the Service.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws applicable at the operator's place of establishment, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
